Recovering fully from wisdom teeth extraction usually takes a couple of weeks:
- In the first 24 hours blood clots will form in the socket and after 3 days any swelling should have gone down.
- If you had stitches, they can be removed a week after the extraction and after 2 weeks any soreness, jaw stiffness or bruising should have healed.
- Your dentist will provide tips that will aid your recovery, such as avoiding hot drinks or food that needs chewing.
